Project Overview
The project comprises of a water infrastructure to design and construct over15km of PVC Ring Mains consisting in sizes from 300mm down 200mm linked to 5 Irrigation bores and one 50megalitre storage dam to irrigate Vegetable and Lucerne crops from a 520ha property
This project was started back 2000 in consultation with Vince Galea and has been developed over the last 20 years as the farm expanded to the full acreage being fully irrigated by the end of 2021. Galea Fresh Produce are a major supply of fresh fruit and vegetables to the Sydney Markets and have been a long-standing client of TI for the past 25 years.
Works Undertaken
- Approximately 15,000m of 300 -250mm & 200m PVC PN9 Rising Mains from Bores
- Construct Reservoir Inlet tower and Pipework
- 80 meters of thrust boring under the Mitchell Highway and six residential streets
- Supply and install 3 Cast stainless steel Electric Submersible Pumps ranging from 30kw to 45kw on heavy duty lay flat pump column complete with all required stainless-steel fittings.
- Hydraulic Manifold arrangement at each bore head including Water meter, Valves, and all associated connection fittings to link to the existing adjacent mainline.
- Design supply and install suitably sized consumer mains from the supply authority transformer including transformer upgrades to each individual bore pump electrical shed.
- Design supply and install Electrical pump shed Switchboard and Motor control centre including Variable Speed Pump drive and all to interface with councils clear Scada control system to monitor bore water depth and current and cumulative flow rates to council reservoir.
- Testing and Commissioning of Pipeline and Pump Stations
