Water supply Infrastructure, Remote & Regional Works, Reservoir & Pipework Works
Albert reservoir was constructed in 1960’s and is made of concrete with storage capacity of around 670kL.The internal diameter of the reservoir is 13m and the height is 5.5m. Access to this reservoir is via an unsealed (dirt) road, off-the Bogan Way. As the existing reservoir is in a dilapidated condition, it needs to be decommissioned, demolished, disposed off-site and replaced with the new reservoir. In order to maintain uninterrupted water supply to Albert, the new reservoir would be constructed, commissioned and connected to Tottenham Water Supply Scheme before the existing one is decommissioned, demolished and disposed of. The new reservoir is proposed to be located immediately to the north-west of the existing one. Works were undertaken through funding made available through NSW Water Security for regions program.
