Project Overview

Hilltops Shire Council is developing a Rural Fire Services complex and Showground Pavilion development in Harden. A Design and construct Water main extension and Sewage Pump Station is required to transfer wastewater generated at the two complexes to the council sewage system and potable water supply to the RFS building and new Showground Pavilion.

Works Undertaken
Sewage Pump Station
  • Construction of a cast in-situ concrete Wet well and Concrete Valve enclosure.
  • Concrete hardstand for Electrical Switchboard and assess valve chamber.
  • Activated carbon type odour control unit with extraction duct.
  • Supply and installation of two 5.5kw electric submersible sewage pumps in a duty/standby arrangement and associated pipework into the newly constructed Sewage Wet Well.
  • Construction of intake pipework into sewage wet well and a receiving Manhole from RFS building and Showground Pavilion.
  • Supply and installation of an electrical switchboard and connection via underground cables to the power supply.
  • Inface Pump System into council existing Clear -Scada system for ongoing monitoring.
  • Testing and Commission Pump system and pipeline.
Sewer Gravity and Rising Main
  • Open trench Construction of approximately 800m of DN150 PVC Gravity Sewer main.
  • Construction and installation of 9 Gravity sewer Manholes along pipeline route
  • Horizontal Directional Drilling of approximately 40mrts of DN150 Gravity Sewer main.
  • Open trench Construction of approximately 1.8km of DN75 Poly Sewer rising main.
Water Main
  • Open trench Construction of approximately 3.9km of DN150 PVC Water main.
  • Open trench Construction of approximately 800m of DN75 Poly Water main.
  • Installation of 5 Air release valves and Scour valve hydrants along the mainline.
  • Installation of 4 Isolation Gate Valves along the pipeline.
  • Connection into the existing DN200 supply main at Bobbara St intersection
