Project Overview

Mid-Western Regional Council required a Design and Construct Potable water pipeline along Ulan Rd Mudgee. This project is to ensure council can adequately maintain water services to the area that meet Australian Standards for volume and pressure and the Australian Drinking Guidelines for quality. The water main will commence in Short St Mudgee cross the Cudgegong River continue along the Eastern side of Ulan Rd and reconnect to the reticulation system adjacent to the Airport at Mudgee. The project will involve a river and creek crossing as well as seven road crossings.

Works Undertaken
  • 3.8km of 200mm DICL Trunk Main along Ulan Rd and reconnection.
  • 7 required Isolation Valves, Air Valves and Scour Valves along the pipeline route
  • Bracket connect 200mm DICL pipeline under the bridge across the Cudgegong River
  • Connect 200mm DICL pipeline to existing bracket assembly across creek crossing
  • Thrust bore 7 Road crossings along pipeline route
  • Manage Traffic Control with over 6000 traffic movements per day out to Ulan Coal Mine
  • Testing – Commissioning and Disinfection of Pipeline
