Project Overview
Narrabri Shire Council required the supply and construction of a new Sewer Rising Main to mitigate the issues affecting the existing main and to service the projected growth of population within the Narrabri Shire. The proposed new Sewer Rising Main would commence at the existing Doctors Creek Sewer Pump station and head northeast along George St and continue north along Saleyards Lane under the Newell Highway and adjacent rail line ending at the boundary fence of the Narrabri Sewage Treatment Plant a distance of1.8km
Works Undertaken
- Supply and installation of 1.8km long sewage rising main 300mm PN16 PVC Pipe.
- Thrust Bore Under Newell Highway and adjacent Rail line
- 5 required Isolation Valves, Air Valves and Scour Valves in Pits along the pipeline route
- Connection into the existing Doctors Creek Sewage Pump Station and Narrabri STP.
- Replace all existing valves at Doctors Creek Sewage Pump Station
- Major cut over without disruption to town sewage flows
- Testing and Commission Pipeline system.
